Plastic products are widely used in daily life, from everyday household items such as pens, nylon bags, furniture, toys, etc. to the products cater to the needs of agricultural production-like PP bag, plastic canvas, cloth geological, agricultural mulch, etc. In addition to meet domestic demand, Vietnam-made plastic products are increasingly popular with international customers through affordable, high quality, nice design. Export turnover of industry in 2012 is estimated at $ 1.7 billion, growth of recent years are over 20%. Although this is an industry full of potential, but the investment for the production of raw materials (mainly virgin resin) is not appropriate. Nearly 100% of the raw materials are imported. Materials imported mainly about 500,000 tons of PP, PE (HDPE, LDPE, LLDPE), 700,000 tons, 300,000 tons of PVC, PS about 200,000 tons.
